Job Summary

CPLR Law, PLLC is a growing law firm seeking a talented Paralegal to join our team.

You will provide support to the attorneys and other staff by managing civil and commercial matters, including specifically estate and trust administration; navigating court procedures; and communicating with clients and third parties. Key duties involve overseeing court cases from initiation to close, including drafting pleadings, petitions, and orders; preparing inventories, accountings, and schedules; filing necessary documents; managing calendars, and providing office administrative assistance. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist with litigation for our clients.

Experience with the probate process, guardianships and conservatorships, estate planning, business formation, business transactions, and real estate contracts is desired. Bookkeeping and accounting expertise is also a plus.

Requirements

• Successful candidates will have:
• Preferably at least two years of law firm experience.
• Understanding of court rules, procedures, and terminology.
• Experience tracking billable hours in legal software.
• Proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail for handling sensitive financial and legal information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for dealing with courts, clients, and professionals.
• A strong ability to work independently.

The salary range is expected to be $55,000-$70,000 per year based on experience and qualifications, with the potential for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, plus much more.
