WELCOME TO EL PASO COUNTY BAR FOUNDATION

The El Paso County Bar Foundation was established in March 2002 as the charitable arm of the El Paso County Bar Association. The Foundation works to:

  • Promote education, knowledge and awareness of the law.
  • Improve the administration of justice and the delivery of legal services.
  • Assist in providing legal services to those who are unable to afford them.
  • Provide scholarships and grands consistent with these purposes.
  • Serve similar charitable and community needs in El Paso and Teller Counties.

RUTH ROUSS SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

The Ruth Rouss Scholarship for Women is funded and sponsored by the Joseph Henry Edmondson Foundation. Ruth Rouss was a matriarch of the Bar Association and a founder and President of the Edmondson Foundation.

BEN S. WENDELKEN SCHOLARSHIP FOR MEN

The Ben Wendelken Scholarship for Men is funded and sponsored by the El Pomar Foundation and the Viola Vestal Coulter Foundation. It is named in honor of the late Ben Wendelken, one of the most prominent lawyers in the history of the El Paso County Bar.

SACHS SCHOLARSHIP

The Sachs Scholarship is funded and sponsored by the Sachs Foundation. This scholarship is awarded to a law student identifying as Black and/or African American.
