This presentation will discuss common law marriage and potential legal theories that can apply in the event the court determines that there is no common law marriage but the parties have jointly owned and/or contributed to various types of property. Concepts including partition, constructive trust and unjust enrichment to name a few.

Time permitting, there will also be discussion on potential civil suits between spouses and former spouses.
