    CLE: 1 General Anticipated

    Presented by: Elizabeth Vanatta

This CLE will focus on the Colorado Rules of Evidence, with specific focus on Rules 401, 613, 702, 803, and 804.  The course will be offered as a practicum wherein the participants will play the role of opposing counsel as the instructor conducts a direct examination of a witness.  The instructor will have 5 exhibits that she will attempt to admit, and she will ask the participants to provide objections as they can think of them.  The instructor and the audience will then go through the basic rule and how certain exceptions might be provided in response.  At the conclusion of the examination, the instructor will go through audience reflections on form and substance of objections and provide feedback and input.
